With us you're the designer!
We use high quality, fade and rust resistant materials to create unique furniture.
Ironfire style is contemporary with an industrial twist and we make furniture that will last a lifetime.
We source everything in the UK and unless there is no alternative, we only use British made materials.
The extent of our finish and colour choices might at first seem overwhelming but, be assured, the process is really straightforward.

All of our wood is Douglas Fir which comes from sustainable British FSC certified sustainable forests.
Douglas is renowned as being the timber most resistant to weather and insects.
Next we make sure our wood is dried to the average moisture content it is likely to experience.
All wood is then primed against splitting and peeling before then applying paint finishes.
We often also scorch wood to different levels to give it a decorative finish and provide extra preservation!
Whatever style we use, we embrace the knots, whorls and grain which are of course the glory of wood.
Please note, those differences mean we can’t guarantee the finish of your table will perfectly match the images.
You can either choose from the swatches of Popular colours on our shop pages or from over 200 RAL classic colours.
Our paints are stable against sun bleaching and have water resistant hard wearing coats of lacquers applied.
Our water based stains and paints are either free of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or or without harmful levels.
In fact we have to use special spray equipment for our protective lacquers in order to avoid using eco unfriendly 2 pack coatings!
Dependent on environment and usage we expect our table tops to give between 5 -10 years service before needing refreshing.
Custom Made Surfaces
We’ve tried to show how you can personalise our furniture for your home and garden but there’s much more we can do.
We can fit sheet material to table tops from, for example, steel, brass or MDF with routed patterns. It really is an endless choice.
We can coat our frames in different colours too and are looking to introduce some gorgeous antiqued metal colours soon.
We guarantee our fully zinc galvanised 1.5mm thick steel for 10 years against rust penetration. See our T&Cs
Afterwards we finish with an architectural quality, hard wearing, textured, anthracite Powder Coating.
That means we can guarantee our steel framing for 10 years against rust penetration. See our T&Cs
Specifically designed for use both indoors and out, everything Ironfire is incredibly robust.
We use the 8 levels of the International Blue scale to measure fading caused by Ultra Violet in the sun’s rays.
We use natural cotton from Clarke & Clarke for our indoor cushions.
These have a blue scale of 6 and are fully washable, stain resistant and are cigarette and scorch fire resistant.
Our outdoor cushions are unique and a real ironfire innovation.
We seal our cushions rather than sew them and fit valves which allow air but not water to pass through them.
We have our PVC backed material made just for us. It’s totally waterproof, mould and stain resistant with good fire retardancy.
With a high blue scale rating of 7 you can leave these cushions outside all year.
We make quick fit waterproof protective covers for all of our outside tables, chairs and benches.
These are designed for speedy fitting and removal and we strongly recommend them to further protect outside furniture.
Some people love the glow that glass adds to Ironfire surfaces and so it is an option for all internal surface sizes.
We specify Pilkington, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of Toughened Safety Glass for Ironfire Furniture.
Our toughened glass is 5mm thick and if broken safely crazes into small pieces. Our mirror glass is 5mm thick too.
All of our glass meets relevant BS standards.
(We don’t however recommend using glass on Ironfire industrial tables outside as they can suffer condensation).
The glass will be slightly smaller than your table top as it’s manufacturing tolerance is +/- 3mm
